Cheryl and I are embarking on an adventure in Oradea, Romania during my year-long sabbatical from Hope College. I will be teaching at Emanuel University of Oradea and at this point in time, Cheryl is a free agent. I am sure she will become quite busy once they realize that she has some available time. We will try to post something to this blog about once/week, as the mood strikes, or as new and interesting events occur.
We have been blessed with many wonderful friendships throughout the years and had the opportunity to join some of these friends during the past few weeks. In each case, they gathered around us and offered a blessing on our trip and our time in Romania. The pictures below represent two such opportunities--our "Dine with Nine" group from church and the other one represents a small sample of our Growth Group from church.

We realize just how important this community of believers have been to our lives and their fellowship will be missed. We trust and pray that we will be able to experience a loving Christian fellowship during our time in Oradea.
Lord willing, the next time you hear from us will be from our new living quarters in Romania.
